Sunwell is a project that develops SunwellCore emulator. The sole control over the project is in the hands of the administration. Its decisions are always independent, but voice of the community will never be unheard.

Sunwell Terms of Use is the highest constitution of law on the server. Every player that creates an account has to read the Terms of Use and obey it. Ignorance of the regulations does not exempt from compliance. The administration is taking care of the server for free, not having any profit out of it. We do it as our passion, we do it for ourselves and for you, that’s why we ask you to respect our work.

I.  General Rules

1. The administration has the right to shut down the server in any time for maintenance.

2. The administration NEVER asks about your account credentials. You are responsible for keeping your account safe. The administration isn’t responsible for any unauthorized logins. The only place where is it safe to put your credentials is sunwell.pl webpage and the game client considering the realmlist is correct.

3. Trading accounts and characters in the game, the official Sunwell forums or auction sites is strictly prohibited. The administration is not responsible for any scams done in that way. The sole responsibility is at the player’s side.

Selling your account on an auction site (such as eBay) or any other (for example, MMO forums) for real money (PLN, EUR, USD, etc.) will result in a permanent ban.

4. Selling / buying gold is prohibited.

  • for selling gold, the player is punished with a permanent ban without being able to appeal against it;
  • for buying gold - the removal of all gold, professions and riding on all characters.

5. The administration doesn’t recover the lost accounts, characters, items and so on. We don’t remind you of forgotten account credentials. We do not change any of the account info by ourselves.

6. The administration has the right to delete inactive accounts that were unused for more than 150 days. If you plan a longer break, just freeze your account in the Player’s Panel.

7. Bug using is strictly prohibited. The players should report bugs (through the BugTracker). The default punishment for bug-using (exploiting the bugs for own profit) is 7 days of account suspension in the first case and 30 days of account suspension in the second case, though it can be increased or decreased by the Game Master solving the case, taking into considerations things such as:

  • intention of bug-using;
  • the player’s history: his previous misdemeanors;
  • harmfulness;
  • profits of the bug-using.

8. Software that modifies the game and / or faking the packets sent to the server is prohibited. Automation software, such as bots, are also prohibited. The punishment is the same as in point 7 of the Terms of Use.

9. Using quest items and quest mounts to attack other players is strictly prohibited. Quest items are meant for the quest they are provided for. The punishment for that is individual but can be no longer than 7 days of account suspension.

10. Using Blizzard icon in chat is prohibited. Impersonating a staff member will result in a permanent ban.

11. Fixed Arena and Battleground matches are strictly prohibited. Losing on purpose (wintrading/dropping MMR/etc.) will result in the following punishments:

  • 7 days of account suspension and no end-season prize in the first case;
  • 60 days of account suspension, no end-season prize and removal of all PvP items - in the second and all the next cases. In some situations there may even be a permanent ban.

12. C.O.D. mails used for gold scamming are prohibited:

  • 14 days of ban in the first case;
  • 120 days of ban in the second and next cases.

13. The player has to respect and apply to the administration’s decisions and visit the forum and the website quite often to be in touch with the recent news. If a player would try to extort anything from the administration, he could be punished. The punishment will depend on the player’s behavior.

14. Donating is optional and not necessary to play. We are thankful for all donations and we promise to keep the money for the project’s development.

15. Having many accounts from the same IP is allowed, but sometimes, if the case demands it, we may punish all the accounts belonging to one player.

16. Multiboxing by using any kind of automation (software or hardware) is prohibited and the punishment is the same like in point 7 of the Terms of Use. You can be online on ONLY two accounts simultaneously, however joining a Battleground or a Dungeon through Dungeon Finder using more than one account is forbidden. You can boost your alt in dungeons, help with quests and so on, but disturbing other players is something we'd rather want to avoid.

17. Character name must not be vulgar, racist, insulting, shouldn’t be similar to the nickname of any staff member. The same goes for guild names, pet names, arena teams, etc.

  • having a nickname breaking one of the terms above will result in 24-hour account suspension and character rename;
  • having a guild name breaking one of the terms above may result in removal of the guild.

18. The administration doesn’t interfere in the gameplay. You can kill each other, camp each other, yet we appeal to your common sense to keep that in moderation.

19. Invoking acquaintance of a Game Master or any staff member or even suggesting anything like that can result in a permanent ban.

20. Posting personal information of other players (Real name AND/OR social media profiles) without their permission is strictly prohibited. That may result in a 30 days mute.

21.  The administration does not interfere with the mistakes made by the players. We do not refund “accidentally” spent Sunwell Coins, wrongly spent gold in the game, etc.

22. Ninja looting in raids is forbidden on Sunwell. After having enough proof of the misdemeanour, the ninja looter that stole an item will face two possible forms of punishment.

  • After confirmed ninja loot on 10/25-man version of the highest raid tier, the player will be added to the ninja looter detection system (https://bit.ly/3cabn4M) for 7 days (30 days in case of second time) and the stolen item will be transferred to the righteous owner.
    In case where it is not possible to indicate the winner of an item, the stolen piece of gear will be permanently removed.

  • In case of ninja loot on every single raid (Vanilla/TBC/WotLK) that is not the highest raid tier, the player will be added to the ninja looter list for 7 days. More details: https://bit.ly/3cabn4M

Needing an item on 5-Man dungeons is not considered ninjalooting, thus it won't result in expending the ninja list.

  • The default loot rules are Main Spec > Offspec > Disenchant.
  • For PvP items (in Vault of Achavon) default loot rule is different, it's "Class roll" meaning players can roll on any PvP items if he is able to use it at any point in time, regardless of having that specialization at the moment of rolling (there can be situations where someone have 2xpve specs, but play pvp in 3rd, different spec)
  • The default loot rules are applied to every raid leader. If he wants to change the loot rules, he has to state the new loot rules and screenshot it. The screenshot is an evidence to be used against, if any, ninja-looting reports. In the case when item is deal out in wrong way, the person who will recive that item must to give it back to Raid Leader, and then Master Looter could dispence the item in correct way. Otherwise that person will be regarded as a ninjalooter.
  • Administration doesn’t interfere with the priority of loot rolls. The concerned player should ask raid leader about that. The decision about the priority lies within the raid leader’s concern.

23.  Reporting a player on the forum should be done only after re-thinking the situation. If the player making a report doesn’t apply to the project’s Terms of Use, doesn’t provide evidence, he can be muted in the game (no longer than 2 days) and a temporal forum suspension.

24. Selling items from the Shop to other players via Gift System is forbidden and may result in a 7 day ban.

24. Organizing casinos in the game isn't allowed because casinos games are often used by the gold sellers to hide their illegal transactions. Casinos games will result in removing all the gold from the all connected accounts.

25. It is forbidden to trade characters and announce Black Market offers in the game. Trying to find the seller is also forbidden and the punishment for that is 14 days of mute.

II.  Game Masters and chat rules

1. Game Master character can be recognized by tag before the character’s name and blue BLIZZ chat icon. The icon has to be placed BEFORE the nickname. The player has the right to ask a Game Master to appear next to him in order to prove his legitimaty.

2. Game Master helps only in the situations when emulator / base is not working as it should. Game Masters help you for free, that’s why we ask you to respect their job

3. Insulting the staff is strictly prohibited. Do not mistake it for constructive criticism which we always welcome. If a player blames Game Master for anything without evidence, he has to be aware of the possible consequences.

4. Insulting the staff will result in a permanent ban.

5. Trolling the staff may result in a punishment. In a special situation the staff has right to remove any player from the server if it is deemed necessary. Bear in mind that if your account was banned because of your illegal actions - SunwellCoins won't be refunded. Please be fair and enjoy your time on Sunwell.

6. Insulting other players is prohibited. The punishment depends on the situation. We do not resolve reports about guild chat or whisper (the only exception is when it’s really necessary). We’d also like to notice the existence of ignore option.

7. Spamming, swearing racism is prohibited. Be civil.

  • 6 hours of mute in the case of spam with Dirge, Thunderfury, racism, swearing - in the first case in one day.
  • Maximum of 7 days mute or temporal ban from the channel (in some situations even a permanent one) - in the case of repeating misbehaviors in the next few hours or few days of the first punishment. The punishment is adjusted by the Game Master resolving the case.

8. Abusing Channel Owner fuctions can result in penalty that is determined individually.

There are special chat channels that are considered public chats and have their own set of rules:

GLOBAL:

1. The global chat channel is an English channel. Speaking in any other language is strictly prohibited and may result in a mute from 6 hours to 7 days; in some other cases, channel ban may be applied.

  • 30 minutes of mute - the first case
  • 6 hours of mute – the second case;
  • 7 days of mute – the third case;
  • Permanent channel ban – in the fourth case. In some special cases, permanent channel ban and more strict punishment may be applied even after the first case of misbehavior: it all depends on the Game Master.

2. General channels, such as General, Trade, LocalDefense, Public chats in Major Cities are treated in the same way as the global chat channel: speaking other language may result in a mute from 30 minutes to 10 days;

  • 30 minutes of mute - the first case
  • 6 hours of mute – the second case;
  • 10 days of mute – the third and the next cases;

3. Party chat in dungeons gathered via Dungeon Finder has a requirement of speaking English. The same rule applies to Battleground chat, as both Battleground chat and Dungeon Finder party chat are considered global chats.

  • 30 minutes of mute - the first case
  • 6 hours of mute – the second case;
  • 10 days of mute – the third and the next cases;

4. Looking for more people in the context of raid, party, pre-made Battleground group (doesn't apply to Arena teams and Guilds) from specific country / language is forbidden. Look for a healer, not for a "Polish healer". Breaking this rule may result in a mute from 30 minutes to 10 days.

  • 30 minutes of mute - the first case
  • 6 hours of mute – the second case;
  • 10 days of mute – the third and the next cases;

III.  Appeals

1. Only Game Master that punished a player can be involved in punishment appeals, although after Game Master’s response isn’t satisfying, the player might ask Administrator to become involved. You cannot appeal after Administrator made his decision.

2. You can appeal only for 3 days after being punished.

3. You can report a player only for 3 days after he broke the rules.

4. You cannot appeal after using the prohibited software.

IV.  Others

In any other issues not covered by the rules, general honesty, morality and common sense applies.

Advertising other servers might result in account suspension to make it easier for him to play on the server he had advertised.

Participating in collective rule breaking might result in the same penalty.

Players must be up to date with the rules. Logging to Sunwell website and to the game means the player had accepted the rules.

Administration reserves the right to change the rules if needed.
